Beloveds,

My “post-it-flags icon series” continues with beloved angelic troublemaker —and fellow unruly Quaker— Bayard Rustin.

And once again, I implore you to treat yourselves to the movie Rustin on Netflix.

And just for funsies:

I’ve been supes enjoying Girls5Eva, also on Netflix.

Your mileage may vary (YMMV) but it grew on me and I love it.

It’s quirky, witty, silly, edgy, and tender-hearted.

The songs are hilarious and catchy as hecky.

Plus: Renée Elise Goldsberry (aka Angelica Schuyler from the original Broadway cast of Hamilton) is an absolute treasure.

Often the skills that make one a Broadway star - being larger than life - do not translate well to the small screen, where verisimilitude is the name of the game. But R.E.G. makes it look easy.
